Saint-Emilion is the only wine site to have obtained a UNESCO classification. This medieval village boasts Europe’s largest monolithic church. Do not miss « la Fête du Printemps » (Spring Fair) in June and « Ban des vendanges » which celebrates the beginning of grape-harvesting, in September.
Medoc goes from Bordeaux to the Garonne river mouth. "Les Étapes du Cognac" is an association of wine and tourism professionals as well as cultural operators from the Charente area. This network’s mission is to develop wine tourism all year round, by promoting Cognac as well as Pineau des Charentes and "Vins de Pays Charentais" wines.
« Les Étapes du Cognac » invites visitors to discover 5 themed routes :

• Cognac and the river ;
• Cognac and stone ;
• Cognac, stone and the estuary ;• Cognac and traditions.
These marked itineraries are accessible all year round with indications at every crossroad. Visitors can follow these routes, or portions of them, at leisure.
